Game Summary:
SSX Tricky is an over-the-top arcade snowboarding game and the second entry in the SSX series. Building on the original SSX, it sends players down a set of massive, imaginative downhill courses filled with ramps, rails, and shortcuts. You select from a colorful cast of riders, each with their own personality, stats, boards, and signature moves, then compete in high-speed downhill races or trick-focused events across global locations such as Garibaldi, Alaska, Merqury City, and Tokyo Megaplex. The game’s key innovation is the Uber Trick system: by filling the adrenaline/boost meter through standard tricks and aggressive riding, you unlock spectacular Uber Tricks that have riders briefly detaching from their boards and pulling off wildly exaggerated stunts; chaining multiple Ubers grants extended or unlimited boost for the rest of the race. A rivalry system tracks how you treat AI competitors—knocking them down can create hostile rivals who target you in later events, while cooperative riding can earn allies. The Xbox version features enhanced graphics and audio compared with earlier releases, along with the same fast-paced, combo-heavy gameplay, adaptive soundtrack (including Run-D.M.C.’s “It’s Tricky”), and an in-game World Circuit career mode where you earn medals, unlock new boards, outfits, and characters, and gradually max out each rider’s abilities.
