This version of Studio Series Starscream is based off his appearance in Bumblebee and transforms from robot to Cybertronian tetrajet in 31 steps. Despite looking very similar to Studio Series Blitzwing, Starscream is a completely brand new mold. He comes with a cannon, two Null-Ray blasters evocative of his G1 namesake, and a cardboard backdrop display depicting a war-torn Cybertron as it appears in the beginning of the film.
The toy was officially unveiled by the owner of the Ozformers fan group on November 5, 2020. The copy used for the reveal painted the eyes under his molded eyes, making it seem his actual eyes were just large eyebrows. The Hasbro Pulse description incorrectly mixed in parts of the Studio Series 86 toys’ description, as well as multiple mentions to the toy’s Null-ray blasters, but not his primary cannon.
