Version 9.2 updates of both iCollect Everything and iCollect Trading Cards for iOS are now out. This release focuses on making collecting faster, more accurate, and more useful, with a particular emphasis on trading card collectors.
Trading Card Updates
Bulk Scanning for Faster Adding
You can now add multiple cards to your collection quickly with the new Bulk Scanning feature. Just tap the Bulk button on the card scanning screen to begin scanning several cards in one streamlined session. A toast UI will pop at the top of the screen showing you what you just scanned and saved. You can touch the red X if the item doesn’t match what you’re looking for and it will be removed from your collection immediately.
Grade Detection for Slabbed Cards
For graded cards, the app now detects the grade automatically, as best we can, and fills in the Grade field when scanning slabbed cards. This reduces the need for manual entry. A future update will auto-detect the grading company as well (PSA, BGS, CGC, etc).
Automatic Image Saving
When scanning cards, the app now saves not only the stock images but also your personal scans. It will automatically add:
-
An image of your card
-
An image of your graded slab (if applicable)
These are stored as images #3 and #4, directly following the stock images.
Other Improvements
More Accurate Web Image Search
The built-in web image search has been significantly improved for better accuracy and more relevant results.
Updated External Components
Several underlying third-party components have been updated to improve performance, stability, and compatibility.
Estimated Values Expanded
Estimated Values are now available for nearly every built-in collectible type. While accuracy will continue to improve over time, this expansion gives collectors like you broader insight into the potential value of your collections.
Faster Title Searching
Searching by Title within the database is now faster across all collectible types, making it easier to find the exact item you are looking for.
Note: These changes will also be coming to a major version 9 update to the Android version of the apps later this year, as well as the desktop apps soon.
